Call for 2020 Annual Meeting Session Proposals


We are pleased to invite AAHCM members and others involved in the field of home care medicine to submit proposals for sessions at the 2020 AAHCM Annual Meeting which will be held in Orlando, FL on October 23rd and 24th. This is a great opportunity to showcase your knowledge and expertise. Your participation will help contribute to the field of home care medicine and add to the quality of the programming at the annual meeting.

This year’s conference is titled:

A World of Opportunities: Leveraging the Power of Home Care Medicine

 

The conference will convene academic leaders, policy authorities, Veterans Administration experts, researchers as well as clinical and operational experts to bring to life the new and changing opportunities in the home care medicine field.  

 

The Program Planning Committee is hosting a Call for Speakers for educational sessions focusing on the following topics:

  • Caregiver Support/Dealing with Caregivers
  • Change Management/Emergency Management
  • Clinical Care Transformation
  • Clinical Practices
  • Coding (Advanced)
  • Conflict Management
  • Contracts with Payers
  • Dementia
  • Educating New Providers/Trainees
  • Interdisciplinary Team
  • Interpersonal Communication
  • Leadership
  • Legislative and Policy Updates
  • Palliative Care
  • Payment Models/PCF
  • Practice Management
  • Provider Management
  • Safety
  • Scheduling
  • Small Start-Ups
  • Technology/Telemedicine
  • VA
  • Wound Care

 

Please review the above categories and only submit speaker sessions consistent with the conference focus.

Due to the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, the AAHCM Program Planning Committee has decided to extend the submission deadline.

In order to be considered, please submit your proposal by the new submission deadline, April 17, 2020 at 11:59 pm CT.

 

Proposals will be evaluated on the following:

  • Presentations must be applicable to the practice of home-based medical care and related to the conference theme and category
  • Overall quality and clarity of the proposal
  • Well-defined objectives
  • Relevance/timeliness to conference focus
  • Practical applications of material
  • Speaker’s clinical and/or programmatic experience in the area of home-based medical care
  • Speaker’s ability to engage and activate the audience
  • Speaker’s demonstration of experience/expertise in the area
  • Free from commercial bias (no marketing is allowed in sessions)

 

Honorarium Policy

Speakers (members and non-members) will receive complimentary registration to the Annual Meeting.
