Home based medical care is a critical specialty for providing clinical services to vulnerable, complex patients who cannot leave the home.
In order to safely provide such care, clinicians must be comfortable with medical complexity, palliative care, shared decision making, challenging psychosocial determinants and with a lack of many facility-based diagnostic tools.
In addition, providers must be able to work well as part of interdisciplinary teams. Finally, the regulatory landscape for the field is rapidly maturing and different from most other, more familiar, loci of care.
This conference provides clinicians with training and education on the unique aspects of providing home based medical care as well as understanding of how to sustain these medical practices.
At the AAHCM 2018 Annual Meeting, you'll be able to:
- Learn from key leaders in the field during our program sessions
- Build your community through our many onsite networking opportunities
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends during our poster presentations
Stay up-to-date on the latest home care medicine industry trends and issues, with sessions on:
