2016 Poster of the Year Award
The 2016 Poster of the Year was awarded to Bruce Kinosian, George Taler, Peter Boling, and Daniel Gilden for their poster, "The Willie Sutton Effect in Health Care: Independence at Home Qualifying (IAH-Q) Criteria Identify High Need, High Cost Medicare Beneficiaries."
2016 Student Poster of the Year Award
The 2016 Student Poster of the Year was awarded to Girish Valluru for the poster "Integrated Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) and Community Services (HCBS) Lowers Medicaid Costs Among Independence at Home (IAH) Medicare Beneficiaries."
2016 Trainee Poster of the Year Award
The 2016 Trainee Poster of the Year was awarded to Jonathan Liu for the poster "Comparison of Adverse Event Rate Between Hospital in Home and Acute Inpatient Care."

The 2015 Trainee Poster of the Year was awarded to Dr. Erin Rae Lockard for the poster "Challenges for Standard Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) Model for Independence at Home) IAH Benchmarking."
The 2013 Poster of the Year was awarded to Dr. Bruce Kinosian for the poster " Hospital at Home as an Inter-agency Collaborative in the VA."

The 2013 Student Poster of the Year was awarded to Elizabeth Pedowitz for the poster "Time Spent Providing Care Outside of Home Visits in a Home Based Primary Care Program"
2012 Poster of the Year Award
The 2012 Poster of the Year was awarded to Dr. Ina Li for the poster "Christiana Care's Home Visit Program: Further Success in House Call Medicine."
2011 Poster of the Year Award
Bruce Kinosian, MD received the 2011 Poster of the Year Award for "Predicted and Observed Costs of Veterans Receiving Home Based Primary Care Among 23 Veteran Integrated Service Networks (VISN)."
2010 Poster of the Year Award
The 2010 Poster of the Year was awarded to Dr. Bruce Kinosian and Jean Yudin, MSN, RN, CS for their poster "Elder Partnership of All-Inclusive Care: Five-Year Follow-up of Integrating Care for Frail, Community Elders, Linking Home Based Primary Care with an Area Agency on Aging as an Independence at Home Model."
2009 Poster of the Year Award
At the AGS Presidential Poster Session, Thomas V. Caprio, MD received the Poster of the Year award for his poster on "Home-Based Screening of Rural Community Dwelling Older Adults by Emergency Medical Services and Referral to Transitional Case Management."
2008 Poster of the Year Award
At the AGS Presidential Poster Session, Catherine Smigelski received the Poster of the Year award for her poster on Transitional Model of Care at VCU Medical Center – Six Years' Experience.
2007 Poster of the Year Award
At the AGS Presidential Poster Session, Dr. Thomas Edes received the Poster of the Year award for his poster on the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) program at the VA.
2006 Poster of the Year Award
At the American Geriatrics Society Presidential Poster Session, Dr. George Shannon and his colleagues received the Poster of the Year award for their poster "Linking Primary Care and Home and Community-Based Services to Reduce Utilization of Costly Medical Services: Findings from the Care Advocate Program."
2005 Annual Meeting Features Poster Award
Dr. Steve Counsel, from Indianapolis, Indiana, received the Poster of the Year Award. His poster described the results of the GRACE (Geriatric Resources for Assessment and Collaborative Care of Elders") program, a home-based intervention, using an interdisciplinary team approach.
2004 Bruce Kinosian, MD, Wins Best Paper/Poster Award
At the Presidential Poster Award ceremony, Academy member Dr. Bruce Kinosian of the University of Pennsylvania was selected as the 2004 paper/poster award winner for his paper "ElderPACT: A Housecall Program Teamed with an Area Agency on Aging to Provide Coordinated Chronic Care Management." This program, managed by nurse practitioner and Academy board member Jean Yudin, partners the house call program based in an academic integrated health system with an area agency on aging to provide a service spectrum similar to the Program for All-Inclusive Care of Elders (PACE). The beneficial results on Medicare costs, nursing home placements, and hospital days were studied and described.
2003 Best Poster Award Presented
The Academy's 2003 Best Poster Award was presented by President Wayne McCormick, MD, at an awards reception on May 16. Congratulations go to Christine Chang, Susan S. Jackson, Christina Conforti, and Elizabeth L. Cobbs for "Outcomes of a Medical House Call Program in an Urban VA Medical Center.
2002 Poster of the Year Award
Dr. Steven L. Phillips of the Sierra Health Plan
Senior Dimensions Program of Las Vegas, Nevada, received the Academy Poster of
the Year Award at the Presidential Award Ceremony of the American Geriatrics
Society. Dr. Phillips had co-developed the poster entitled "An Innovative
Approach to Chronic Home Care" with three colleagues.
